Please read through the summarized items below as a quick reference: Kinder and 1 st grade packets will be delivered to your homes and left at the front door or mailbox School staff may contact you from time to time to check and make sure students have received all the items they need Each teacher has an office hour where they will be available to answer questions for parents and students—teachers should communicate this to you Teachers are setting up online learning lessons through Microsoft Teams Students have a district email address that they will use to log into Microsoft Teams Click on the blue box “Student Online Resources” to sign into Teams, Lexia, ST Math, and other learning resources As we receive information, we will send communication through email, school messenger, and Peachjar Breakfast and lunch combo meals can be picked up every weekday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM during spring break Contact the school by phone at 801-578-8448 2020-2021 School Year Information For more information about the 2020-2021 school year click here and here . Meal Pickup Information To help ensure safety, all meals will be prepared, packaged and delivered by our staff directly to your car. For those without a vehicle, walk-up service is also available. Special meal requests/dietary restrictions will be accommodated upon request. Children must be present to participate. Breakfast/lunch combos will be served every weekday including during spring break (March 23-27) from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM​ This federal food service program is open to the public. Free/reduced meal benefit status and school enrollment is not a requirement. These meals will be provided daily free of charge to all children ages 18 and younger. Navajo Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84104 INTERNET ACCESS As we transition to remote learning in the coming days, a home internet connection is more important than ever. We recognize that many of our students do not have internet connections at home. Comcast, a partner of the Salt Lake Education Foundation, is generously offering a program called “Internet Essentials,” which would allow families to receive two free months of Internet service, with the option of continuing thereafter with monthly payments of $9.95 per month. Salt Lake City School District families have been pre-approved for a streamlined enrollment process. Call 855-846-8376 or apply online at www.InternetEssentials.com . You’ll be asked to provide your contact information and school name. No other paperwork is necessary, and if you meet the program eligibility criteria, you will be approved and could have home Internet within 5-7 days. After your free two-month trial, you can cancel at any time. REMOTE LEARNING PLAN Our teachers will work on Monday and Tuesday to transition the majority of our student learning online. For classes and grades where online learning is not the appropriate choice, Teachers may also prepare packets or other resources for students to work on during the dismissal. Work during the dismissal will focus on maintaining students’ skills and reviewing concepts already taught at school.
